we traveled to the oregon coast this summer for vacation and i even got to squeeze in a couple photo shoots of some old friends! it was great to see them all again, and its always fun to shoot friends i’ve done pictures of the b girls, but never the whole family, so i was excited for the opportunity.

just like kids, i try not to have favorites with clients, but let’s face it, some days we definitely do the w family fits into that category! we’ve done quite a few sessions together now, and i couldn’t say anything but YES when they called to see if we could do another one this summer!

thank you to everyone who has been contacting me and checking my blog for updates! i know i’ve been MIA for some time now! we had a big move right around christmas time which brought me back to my home state of california!!!! yay for sun! and also, after an extremely busy wedding year, missing some big events in the kids’ lives, and a very nice request from my husband, i am taking some time off to spend it with these adorable darlings! i am loving my time with them, and know that when i look back on this time, i won’t regret the shoots i’ve missed or the work i didn’t get to do, but i would have regretted the dance recitals and baseball games i didn’t get to be at!

please keep in touch as i love to see your families changing and growing i’ll be back before you know it!

karli joelle is an up and coming singer-songwriter. she has an amazing voice, and was such fun to shoot. she came up from out of state to shoot in seattle thinking that the gloomy seattle sky would be great for photos. what do you know - it ended up being a beautiful sunny day! i dragged her all around the city for photos and she was a great sport! here are some of my favorites…

through the busy wedding season, somehow megan and shawn’s gorgeous wedding got skipped on the blog! this was such a great day. it was at the seattle tennis club on a clear, HOT, summer day in seattle. the water was sparkling and blue, and the bright colored flowers and decor fit in perfectly. megan and shawn had both a christian and indian ceremony mixed together for their wedding, which i loved! and the ballroom at the tennis club had floor to ceiling windows to let that great light in! the couple love to ballroom dance, and even did a spicy little latin number for their first dance!

Remember this gorgeous wedding?! My friend Kirstie over at Simply Wed won an award for “Best wedding under 25k”! This wedding was absolutely gorgeous, and I loved every detail that Kirstie put together! Congrats Kirstie!

aren’t sisters fabulous?! when i say hey - let me take some pictures of you, she did it. when i mention that those pictures should be at the beach, sure! when i then encouraged her to get in the water even though it was FREEZING outside, she did it. EVEN when i “suggested” that she rub some sand all over herself, SHE DID IT! love her and she’s gorgeous.
